The **Second Sapinish Civil War** (Sapinish: //segunda guerra civil esapiñol//) was a multi-sided civil conflict fought in the former Kingdom of Sapin from July to December 1997 between various claimants to national government and regional militias, with four major ideological blocs— the Fascists, Monarchists, Republicans, and Socialists— eventually emerging. Of these factions, the Fascists and Monarchists were descended from conservative, anti-democratic coup forces initially aligned with King Don Marcos III, while the Republicans and Socialists represented the left-leaning Constitutional government of President Armando Rojas. Large ethnic minority militias formed by the Mondraconusz (Ustians) and Castelorrans took effective control of their respective regions early on in the conflict, with the former initially under Monarchist protection before achieving effective autonomy and the latter aligned to the Socialist bloc.
